Kirsten was born and raised in Denmark and came to the U.S.A.
in 1967, she is known nationally and internationally as a certified porcelain artist and teacher.
Art has always been very important in her life and was taught art
and art principals from kindergarden thru highschool. On a study trip to The Royal Copenhagen Porcelain
Manufactory in 1959, she decided porcelain would be her canvas and she started taking lessons. She travels extensively to local, State, Country and World Shows where she
exhibits and demonstrates her art, ie Italy, Uruguay and the States.
Kirsten has taken workshops and seminars from several renowned
artists. She also gives seminars and workshops. She has attended “The Art Institute” by The
World Organization of China Painters Teachers” for C.E.U.’s since 1994 at the University of Southern
CO, Pueblo ,CO.
Painting oil on porcelain is recognized
as a fine art. Her art, and articles have been published
in “ The China Painter “ magazine, “The Porcelain Artist Magazine”, the “ Mobile
Register” and other newspaper articles.

Kirsten is a member of the Board of Directors
of The World Organization of China Painters, with Headquarters and Museum in Oklahoma City, OK. She has been a teacher/instructor for 15 years. Kirsten has since the beginning of 2003 till present been teaching
for ESILL, Eastern Shore Institute for life long learning, at the James P. Nix Center, Fairhope, Al. 2005 Teaching at the Performing Arts Association, Foley, AL. Exhibiting at the World Show, Buffalo, NY. 2004 &
05 Teaching at the Senior Activity Center, Orange Beach, Al. 2003 founder of Jubilee Porcelain Artist Association, Fairhope
, AL. Exhibiting at the World Show, Atlanta, GA. 2002 & 04 attended Kathy Sheppard’s Classes in Watercolor
and Pen & Ink at the Eastern Shore Art Center, where Kirsten is also qualified to teach “Painting
on Porcelain” Kirsten is past president of Virginia World Organization of China Painters 1995/96 with
show & convention in Frederiksburg,Virginia.
